San Francisco: The Best Paying City

We’ve already shown that San Francisco is the smartest city and the most over-priced city, now a new study declares the San Francisco Bay Area as the highest-paying place to live in the United States.

Of course, with the higher cost of living, this doesn’t mean that Bay Area folks have more discretionary spending money.

From NYT’s Economix Blog: Pay Is Highest in San Francisco Area

Of all the country’s major metro areas, the San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland area of California has the highest average pay for civilian workers.  It was, in fact, 20 percent above the national average in 2009.
